Mulberry, famous fashion handbags manufacturer, recently announced its partnership with Target to launch a limited edition capsule handbag collection – Mulberry for Target. Known for creating the “It” bags, Mulberry has made a name for itself, and is loved by many celebs including Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, and Sienna Miller.

Mulberry is well known across the world for its luxury leathergoods, and now its classic, understated style will be available to the American masses with its Target collaboration. The Limited Edition bags are highly-inspired by the British firms “aesthetic.” Target is always adored for its chic on the cheap design collaborations with famous designers like Zac Posen, Rodarte, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, and Cynthia Vincent. And now Mulberry will be added to its famed list of designer collaborations.

Mulberry for Target Handbag Collection

The Mulberry for Target collection is not Mulberry’s first high street design collection. In fact, Mulberry has also created a high street design for Gap’s RED charity capsule collection a couple of years ago, which gave a whole new meaning to “cheap chic”.

The Mulberry for Target 8-Piece Handbag collection will feature designer behind Alexa Chung’s famed namesake bag, the Mulberry Alexa Bag. Emma Hill, the brainchild behind Mulberry Alexa bag, was inspired when English style icon and former MTV hostess Alexa Chung was once photographed carrying brand’s masculine briefcase-like “Elkington” bag. Mulberry then paid homage to Alexa’s unique sense of style by creating satchel bag, the Mulberry Alexa bag, in her name. The Mulberry Alexa bag soon became an “It” bag, in its own right and Alexa Chung has been seen toting it around the Spring 2010 New York runway shows, much to fashionistas’ delight.

Nothing short of perfection is expected of Mulberry for Target collection. Mulberry bags are vigilantly crafted by team of artisans in England, ensuring that Mulberry leather accessories are not compromised in terms of quality of fabrics and finish.

The Mulberry for Target collection will be available in most US stores and on Target.com from October 10th to December 24th. Price points for Target-Mulberry collaboration have not been revealed yet.
